JFDA closes 19 food facilities during Eid Al-Fitr holiday

Ammon News - The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) shut down 19 alimentation facilities and suspended 70 others for violating health standards during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

The JFDA's inspection teams carried out 800 campaigns, destroying 3 tons of food and 900 liters of liquid and seizing 28 tons and 1,500 liters as samples from the local market's foodstuffs, JFDA Director-General Nizar Mheidat said on Tuesday.

The JFDA conducted an intensive monitoring plan during the Eid holiday to ensure the flow of safe food products to Jordanians.
