Prince Mired, Bani Mustaf talk expedited implementation of disabilities accommodation alternatives strategy

Ammon News - Chairman of Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), His Highness Prince Mired bin Ra'ad, on Tuesday, discussed with Minister of Social Development, Wafa'a Bani Mustafa, ways to enhance joint cooperation and developments in implementing provisions of national strategy to find alternatives to shelters for persons with disabilities.

Prince Mired called on competent authorities' concerted efforts to create the "appropriate" environment to implement the strategy's axes and strengthen independent accommodation for persons with disabilities, in a way that guarantees their independence and equality.

In addition, His Highness affirmed HCD's readiness to provide all technical support required to accelerate implementation of the strategy's provisions.

For her part, Bani Mustafa said the ministry is "keen" to strengthen partnership with HCD and partner agencies to follow up on the strategy's implementation.

Expressing the ministry's keenness to develop capabilities of technical staff working in shelters, Bani Mustafa said this effort aims to align with the strategy's guidelines, in a bid to integrate beneficiaries into society by benefiting from future programs launched for this purpose, in direct coordination with HCD.
