At night, extremely cold weather will prevail, with low-altitude clouds and southeasterly light winds. The weather department warned of poor horizontal visibility over the highlands and parts of the Badia due to heavy fog, and of slippery roads caused by frost formed during the early morning hours over the southern high peaks of Al-Sharah mountain range. Similar weather will persist for the remainder of the week, while Friday will see a slight drop in mercury levels. Temperatures in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 11 degrees Celsius and a low of 3C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 21C, sliding to 11C at night.

Ammon News - Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to remain low in most parts of the Kingdom, with cloudy skies and southeasterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

At night, extremely cold weather will prevail, with low-altitude clouds and southeasterly light winds.

The weather department warned of poor horizontal visibility over the highlands and parts of the Badia due to heavy fog, and of slippery roads caused by frost formed during the early morning hours over the southern high peaks of Al-Sharah mountain range.
