Clouds will appear at medium altitudes in the eastern and southern regions, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds. Similar weather will persist on Wednesday despite a slight rise in temperatures, while Thursday and Friday will see hot conditions as mercury levels jump to above 33 degrees, the JMD added. In Amman and other highlands, north and south, daytime mercury will range between 31 and 28 degrees Celsius. In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as temperatures slide to around 20 or even 16C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 40C and a low of 27C.
