After receiving new information, officers of the cold cases team conducted an investigation and found that the brothers had not reported their sister missing and had led acquaintances to believe that the victim was out of the country, raising officers' suspicions. However, the team confirmed that the sister did not, in fact, leave the Kingdom and that there were no traces of her inside the country, according to the PSD's spokesperson. Officers questioned the suspects who then confessed to strangling their sister and loading the body into a vehicle and dumping it in the Kasarat area in the Madaba governorate. Search teams are looking for the remains of the body in the area, the spokesperson added, stating that the suspects will be referred to the Grand Criminal Court.
