Ammon News - The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Saturday said that executive regulations for election campaigns for the board of directors of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce stipulate that campaigns begin on the date of candidacy submission.

The IEC stressed that if election campaigns begin before that date, it is considered a violation of the regulations and the campaign posters should be removed immediately, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The IEC also noted that it would form field teams to detect any violations.

The commission has set October 29 as election day to choose the board of directors of the chambers of industry, and the period between September 14 and 28 is slated for submitting candidacy applications.

Also, IEC has set December 3 for polling for the elections of the chambers of commerce and announced the period spanning between November 3 and 5 for applying for elections.
