Army chief receives Turkish counterpart

Ammon News - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Wednesday received Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Yasar Guler, and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting covered enhancing bilateral cooperation and joint military coordination between the two countries.

Huneiti and Guler discussed latest regional and international developments, aspects of cooperation and coordination in the field of joint military training, and the exchange of expertise and military drills on both sides.

The meeting introduced a number of military briefings that showcased the level of development and modernization of weapons, tasks and equipment in the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), in line with the nature of developments in the region at various levels.

On the other hand, Huneiti and the Turkish delegation attended a military drill at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC), and were briefed on the drill, which aims to raise the combat efficiency and military expertise of participants at various operational and training levels, in addition to qualitative training for JAF officers.

The drill was attended by JAF senior officers and the Turkish military attache in Amman.
