Environment minister meets FAO official

Ammon News - Minister of Environment, Muawieh Radaideh, on Tuesday met with Abdulhakim Elwaer, Assistant Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and regional representative for the Near East and North Africa, who is currently visiting Jordan.

The meeting is part of a series of meetings held by Elwaer with a number of Jordanian officials, within the framework of coordination and joint work between Jordan and FAO, to discuss ways and mechanisms to achieve visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Abdullah, for Jordan to be a center of food security for the region, specifically with regard to the close cooperation between the FAO and the Jordanian government, in order to achieve the Kingdom's interests.

The coordination meeting aims to work towards achieving food security and sustainable development goals at local, regional and international levels.
