Industrial Producers' Prices index up 15.86pct in five months

The Industrial Producers' Prices index picked up by 15.86 percent in the first five months of 2022, amounting to 138.55 points against 119.58 points in the same period of 2021, the latest figures showed.

The producers’ prices index for May of this year rose by 18.90 percent, reaching 145.71 points against 122.54 during the same month of last year, a report issued Tuesday by the Department of Statistics (DoS) indicated.

On a monthly level, the producer’s prices index for May of 2022 went down slightly by 0.08 percent, reaching 145.71 points compared to 145.83 in April of the same year.
