Ammon News - Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to hover around annual average, with normal summer weather prevailing in the highlands and the plains, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
On Wednesday, mercury levels will rise few degrees, bringing relatively hot conditions in the heights and the plains, while it will remain hot in other regions, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
As we head into Thursday, the Kingdom will be affected by a dry and hot air mass, pushing temperatures high to become 3-4 degrees above their seasonal average and brining hot conditions in most parts of the country, while scorching weather will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD further said.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom today will range between 33 and 30 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 20C or even 15C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 41C and a low of 27C.
