Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Kreishan said on Monday his ministry is committed to further enhancing cooperation with Lebanon in municipal affairs.

During a meeting with Lebanese Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi, Kreishan affirmed the ministry's readiness to exchange expertise, adding that his ministry's strategy is to empower and achieve integration among local administrations and create a stimulating legislative and regulatory environment.

For his part, Mawlawi welcomed closer cooperation between the two ministries to benefit from Jordanian expertise, enable municipalities to contribute to local development, launch projects in collaboration with the private sector and leverage sustainable energy in municipalities.

The Lebanese minister arrived Amman on Sunday evening on a several-day visit to discuss ties in the local administration field.
