Labor minister, Bangladeshi counterpart talk cooperation

Ammon News - Minister of Labor Nayef Istitieh Sunday discussed joint cooperation with the Bangladeshi Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad.

During the meeting, the two ministers stressed the deep-rooted friendship and the commitment of the two countries' leaders to developing and strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the labor sector.

Istitieh underlined that the ministry is committed to ensuring adherence to the requirements of a safe work environment for Jordanian and non-Jordanian workers alike.

The ministry, he indicated, is open to receiving any comments or labor complaints from both Jordanian and non-Jordanian workers, pointing out that it is also willing to look into any proposal that would boost cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, the Bangladeshi minister underscored his country's commitment to enhancing cooperation, lauding the ministry's role in preserving the rights of workers of different nationalities and its supervisory role to ensure a safe work environment.
