Public prosecutor detains suspected Jerash antiquities' vandal for week

Ammon News - The Public Prosecutor of the Jerash governorate detained a man suspected with vandalizing and defacing ancient Roman antiquities for one week.

The prosecutor filed the charges on Thursday under the provisions of Article 26 of the Antiquities Law and Article 443 of the Penal Code, in which the former results in 1-3 years in prison with a fine of no less than JD3,000, while the latter results in a 3 months to 3 years in prison with a fine between JD100-500.
