The general manager of the company, Dr Muhammad Shunaq told Ammonnews that the factory has been launched with full capacity. The factory has produced 20 kilograms of Yellowcake after processing 160 tons of uranium ore found in Jordan. Shunaq added that the factory will produce tens of kilograms of Yellowcake after processing hundreds of tons of ore within the coming months, indicating that all production stages are carried out in accordance with international standards and the requirements of International Atomic Energy Agency. The company worked since its establishment on mining and discovery works to identify the amount of uranium available in Jordan based on the requirements of JORC international system. The company discovered 41000 tons of Uranium oxide (U3O8) which will contribute in supporting the Jordanian national economy. The company established various laboratories Specialized in physical preparation and metallurgic and analysis, equipped with the latest tools in cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency and Jordan Atomic Energy Commission.

Jordan Uranium Mining Company announced the launch of its factory to produce the Yellowcake from Jordanian ore and put it into service.

The general manager of the company, Dr Muhammad Shunaq told Ammonnews that the factory has been launched with full capacity. The factory has produced 20 kilograms of Yellowcake after processing 160 tons of uranium ore found in Jordan.

Shunaq added that the factory will produce tens of kilograms of Yellowcake after processing hundreds of tons of ore within the coming months, indicating that all production stages are carried out in accordance with international standards and the requirements of International Atomic Energy Agency.

The company worked since its establishment on mining and discovery works to identify the amount of uranium available in Jordan based on the requirements of JORC international system.
