Ammon News - Under His Majesty King Abdullah's directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi Tuesday unveiled a new package of development projects in the Amman, Zarqa and Jerash governorates as part of the royal initiatives.

In Jerash, Issawi, head of the committee to follow up on the implementation of the royal initiatives, presented seven low-income families with new homes, that were furnished and supplied with various electrical devices, while in the Sokhna camp in Zarqa, he inaugurated a Local Community Center for Women, designed according to the latest technical specifications, to empower women and enhance their participation in the sustainable development process.

He also inaugurated the al-Awda Sports Club in the camp to advance the youth and sports movement in the area, and enable young people to play sports in a healthy environment that refines their abilities and talents.

In Hittin camp, Issawi inaugurated a 4-dunum public park to act as an outlet of entertainment for the camp's residents and the surrounding areas.

In the capital, the court chief inaugurated a sports health club for the Association of Retired Servicemen, which was supplied with various fitness and body-building devices.

Issawi told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the implementation of these projects comes under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, following field visits and meetings with dignitaries from these governorates. He pointed out that despite the challenges facing the national economy, His Majesty has always placed the improvement of the standard of living and services at the forefront of his priorities.

Royal initiatives target various vital sectors, including health, education and development, income-generating productive projects, and promote the empowerment of women and youth, he indicated, stressing the importance of achieving justice in the distribution of development gains, and implementing projects and programs according to the characteristics and advantages of each area.
