The embassy said that if authorization to reside in Jordan lapses, U.S citizens may be detained or deported from Jordan, and they may not be permitted to return to Jordan following deportation or voluntary departure from the country. The embassy added that residency status may be verified at Jordan Ministry of the Interior and employment authorization status may be verified at the Ministry of Labor.

U.S embassy in Jordan warned its citizens in Jordan to routinely check if they are in compliance with all relevant employment- and immigration-related Jordanian government regulations.

The embassy said that if authorization to reside in Jordan lapses, U.S citizens may be detained or deported from Jordan, and they may not be permitted to return to Jordan following deportation or voluntary departure from the country.

The embassy added that residency status may be verified at Jordan Ministry of the Interior and employment authorization status may be verified at the Ministry of Labor.
