Bloodbath in Beit Lahiya: Dozens killed and injured as Israeli warplanes attack 5-story building

Ammon News - A deadly Israeli airstrike on a residential building in northern Gaza early this morning has left dozens of Palestinians killed or wounded, according to local reports. The strike targeted a five-story building in the town of Beit Lahiya, which housed displaced families.

Initial reports suggest that the airstrike, carried out by Israeli fighter jets, caused extensive damage to the building, which belongs to the Ghabayen family, resulting in a significant number of casualties among innocent civilians, including children and women.

Rescue teams are struggling to reach the site due to the severity of the destruction and ongoing Israeli airstrikes and indiscriminate attacks in the area, making it difficult to provide an accurate count of the dead and injured at this stage.

The building, which was home to families displaced by the ongoing Israeli genocide, collapsed after being struck.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 43,799 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 103,601 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
