Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the Israeli attack on the Abu Asi School of the UNRWA in the Beach Camp and a house in Beit Lahia in Gaza. This resulted in over 60 deaths and many injuries, mostly women and children, violating international law, including the Geneva Convention of 1949, and targeting civilians and displaced persons deliberately.
Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, the official spokesperson for the Ministry, reiterated the Kingdom's strong disapproval of Israel's ongoing breaches of international law and humanitarian standards, highlighting the lack of a robust international reaction to restrain Israeli aggression and compel adherence to international laws, ultimately preventing the devastation and suffering in Gaza.
Ambassador Al-Qudah emphasized the importance of safeguarding civilians, essential infrastructure for providing basic services to our Palestinian compatriots, humanitarian facilities, and shelters as outlined by international law and humanitarian law. Ambassador Al-Qudah reiterated his plea to the global community, particularly the Security Council, to take action and force Israel to cease its aggression in Gaza, its persistent breaches of international law and humanitarian law, and to ensure accountability for those responsible.
