Ammon News - Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya on Sunday decided to extend the validity of exemptions for persons subject to police watch for another three months, starting from April 7, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) would conduct unannounced inspection visits to these people to ascertain the extent of their compliance with the law, Faraya noted, adding that this decision excludes cases that have been identified by the directorate based on the type of crimes committed.

He said that this decision falls within the objectives of the Ministry of Interior to maintain security and public order under the Crimes Prevention Law, stressing that through this law, administrators aim to give repeat offenders the opportunity to correct their behaviour.
