Senators also approved the lawmakers’ endorsement of the anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism Law as amended by the Senate. Okaying today’s laws, along with the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Law and the Companies Law, bring the number of approved bills to 5 out of 11 on the Parliament’s extraordinary session agenda. Three more bills, including the municipalities and decentralization draft Law, the development of land adjacent to the Baptism Site Law and the drugs and psychotropic substances Law, are listed on the agenda of the Lower House’s session on Monday.

Senate approves amendments to Illicit Gains Law

Ammon News - The Senate on Sunday approved the amended Illicit Gains Law and an addendum to the 2021 State Budget Law as referred by the Lower House, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.

Senators also approved the lawmakers’ endorsement of the anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism Law as amended by the Senate.
