Azerbaijani people celebrate Solidarity Day on Thursday

Ammon News - People of the Azerbaijani nation will celebrate their day of universal unity in more than 70 countries around the world on Thursday, which marks the "Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis".

A statement by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Amman on Monday said that this holiday plays an important role in establishing contacts with Azerbaijanis living in different countries, building solidarity among them.

The national leader of Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, declared December 31 as the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day on December 16, 1991, taking into account the importance of creating a unity of the Azerbaijanis, regardless of whether they live.
