Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - An interim committee managing the affairs of the suspended teachers' syndicate on Sunday said any calls be members of the syndicate to organize any activity or release statements or express any stands are "illegal and have no legal framework".
In a statement, the committee, which the government formed following the administrative and financial suspension of the teachers' syndicate in July, vowed legal action against any party that claims to represent teachers or calls on them to hold any activity.
It warned that everyone who responds to and encourages such calls, will be held accountable for violating the relevant defense orders and the civil service bylaw. The committee referred to the Pubic Prosecutor's order in July to suspend the syndicate and its relevant bodies for two years.
Since its inception, the committee said it has been regularly meeting at the Ministry of Education to manage the financial and administrative affairs of the suspended syndicate and safeguard teachers' rights.
Similarly, the Ministry of Education urged all teachers not to respond to such calls, stressing that all issues related to the suspended council of the syndicate are still before courts.
