Hamzah Hospital director urges public not to question severity of COVID-19

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Director of the Prince Hamza Hospital, Abdul Razzaq Al-Khashman, on Tuesday urged the public not to question the existence or severity of the COVID-19 disease and called for strict adherence to health safety protocols.

Speaking to Petra, Al-Khashman said the three deaths recorded yesterday and today from the disease did not suffer from any chronic or associated illnesses, stressing that there is no room for complacency in dealing with the disease.

"Many COVID-19 cases hospitalized were in stable conditions, but soon afterward, they started to symptoms and complications such as severe pneumonia, and breathing problems", Al-Khashman said, adding that some cases suffered kidney failure while others remain on ventilators.

He also urged the public to adhere to health safety measures, including social distancing and the use of facial masks, gloves and sanitizers to curb the spread of the disease.
