Jordanian tourism departures surge by %25.3

Ammon News - The number of Jordanians leaving the country for tourism purposes during January and February, reached 328,814, an increase of 25.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
The total number of Jordanians leaving last January reached 164,642 and 164,172 in February, a total of 328,814, according to official preliminary figures.
The total number of Jordanians leaving in January 2023 reached 140,054 Jordanians, and in February 122,406, a total of 262,460, according to Al-Mamlaka.
The latest data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) indicated that tourism income in Jordan achieved a growth of 8.9% during February, compared to the same month in 2023, to reach JD389.7 million ($549.6 million).
During the first two months of 2024, tourism income increased by 4.5%, recording a value of JD782.6 million ($1.1 billion).
