15 COVID-19 cases, including 13 local infections, recorded in Kingdom Tuesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Health Minister Saad Jaber said Tuesday that 15 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the Kingdom, including 13 local infections, raising the caseload since the outbreak of the pandemic to 1,283.
He said that the cases from abroad were 2 Jordanians who came from Saudi Arabia and were staying at quarantine sites, and a driver at the Omari border crossing, while the local cases were: 5 from the northern Ramtha District, 4 of them work in customs clearance and 1 was in contact with a confirmed infection, 1 case in Jerash, 2 in Irbid, 1 in Ajloun and 4 cases in the capital Amman.
Jaber also told the daily press brief at the Prime Ministry that there was an unconfirmed case in Mafraq, which was being investigated, and that two patients have recovered from the disease.
The minister also said that epidemiological investigation teams today conducted 6,200 COVID-19 swab tests.
He urged the public to download the Aman application, which helps to detect and track contacts with persons infected with the virus, in order to protect the society against contagion.
Commenting on reports that a vaccine was found in Russia, Jaber said that the Jordanian embassy in Moscow is following up with the Russian authorities on the effectiveness of the vaccine and the purchase price.
