Cabinet approves set of regulations related to customs control over imported goods

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Cabinet on Sunday decided to approve a set of regulations related to customs control over imported goods.
In a session chaired by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, the government decided to approve the regulation of customs control over exempted imported goods of 2020, which aims at controlling these goods and stating necessary procedures and conditions for the provisions of this control.
The Council of Ministers also decided to approve the regulation of customs control over hazardous and dual-use goods received for transit or transit shipment for 2020.
The system comes for regulating the provisions for controlling goods that can be used in weapons of mass destruction, including chemical, nuclear, or biological materials, and which may be used to threaten international peace and security.
The regulations approved by the Council of Ministers also included a regulation amending the customs services allowance system on imported goods for 2020.
On the other hand, and in light of the measures taken by the government to merge the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) to become a directorate in the Transport Ministry; the Cabinet decided to refer JMD Director, Hussein Momani, to retirement.
