2 Jordanians abducted in South Africa freed, foreign ministry says

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced that two Jordanians, who were kidnapped in South Africa on August 17, were freed early Thursday.
In a statement, the ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, said the operations center and the Jordanian embassy in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, in coordination with competent bodies in the Kingdom, had closely followed up on the incident with local authorities there, adding the two Jordanians were released this morning.
The Jordanian embassy in Pretoria followed up on the release procedures and measures overnight, Qudah further said, noting Jordan's ambassador there Ibrahim Al-Awawdeh, said the abducted Jordanians, a man and his son, returned to their family.
The spokesperson also praised the local authorities in South Africa and the South Africa's ambassador to Amman for their cooperation on the issue.
