Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, discussed with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita on Saturday ways to enhance bilateral relations and maintain coordination and consultation on various regional and international issues.

During the meeting here, which was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and the delegation accompanying the Moroccan minister, Razzaz affirmed the role of the two Kingdoms' governments in implementing what King Abdullah II and King Mohammed VI agreed on during their summit in Casablanca in March 2019 aimed to enhance mutual cooperation to the level of a multi-faceted strategic partnership, and maintain the approach of joint consultation and coordination.

This level of cooperation reflects the strength of the relationship between the two leaderships and the two peoples in all political and economic fields, Razzaz pointed out.

On the political front, Razzaz said the two countries share similar positions on the Palestinian issue and their support for the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, and their permanent coordination in the defense of Jerusalem and the protection of its holy sites.

On the economic front, Razzaz stressed the "great" opportunities available to increase bilateral cooperation in many fields and sectors, to achieve complementarity between the two countries, to increase coordination in terms of access to new markets in Africa, and to contribute to reconstruction in some countries in the region.

Discussing future prospects, Razzaz pointed to the possibility of increasing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of pharmaceuticals, phosphate, local administration, and tourism, and commended King Mohammed VI's directives to establish a vocational training center in Jordan that covers several fields, including tourism.

He also noted the launch of a direct air line between the two countries since last April will contribute to increasing the joint tourism movement.

During the meeting, discussions went over the importance of preparing to convene meetings of the Jordanian-Moroccan High Joint Committee as soon as possible to serve the bilateral relations.

For his part, the Moroccan minister said his three-day visit to Jordan comes within the framework of implementing the directives of the two countries' leaders to activate the strategic partnership between the two kingdoms.

The Moroccan official also stressed his country's keenness to expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation and achieve them through action programs in all political and economic fields.
