Moderate weather today, heat wave to start tomorrow

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Moderate summer conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the country today, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said in its daily brief.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 33 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern cities and 31 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 20, 21 and 18 respectively at nights. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs rising to 42 degrees and lows sliding to 29, the JMD added.
On Monday, a hot and dry heat wave is expected to hit the country, pushing temperatures 5-6 degrees Celsius above annual average and bringing hot conditions across many parts of the country, with northeasterly moderate winds.
The impact of the heat wave is forecast to increase on Tuesday as mercury levels will continue to rise few degrees, while very hot conditions will continue across many parts of the country especially in the desert, Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
