During separate phone calls with Gendarmerie Department Director, Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, Public Security Department (PSD) Director, Fadel Hmoud, and Commander of the Special Police of the Gendarmerie, HRH Prince Rashed Bin Al Hassan, Razzaz stressed that enhancing the state of law is the cornerstone of social security and peace. The Premier praised the great efforts of security forces in fighting fugitives and bringing them to justice. He was commenting on an incident early today in which a joint force of the Gendarmerie and PSD carried out a raid in the Zarqa governorate and arrested a group of armed men who were wanted on drug, theft and other criminal charges. Two of the fugitives were killed and five others arrested, and large quantities of narcotics were seized.
