Senate endorses Civil Retirement, municipal courts formation draft bills

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Senate on Tuesday sent back the draft Civil Retirement law to the Lower House after amending it during a session chaired by Senate President Faisal Fayez in the presence of Cabinet members.
The Senate also endorsed a bill amending the municipal courts formation law as referred to it by the Lower House.
Moreover, the Senate rejected the House's decision on civil retirement and abolished an article which entitles the ministers' to a lifetime pension to at least 10 years, and approved the bill as referred by the government. The bill granted the right of retirement to ministers after 7 years of service in ministries, governmental institutions, official or public institutions, or municipalities.
The draft Civil Retirement law aims at regulating issues pertaining to the retirement of members of the executive and judiciary powers in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and for the public interest.
