Report: 22pct of Jordanian youths work

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - About 21.7 per cent of Jordanians aged 15 to 24 years have jobs while the rest are still studying either at schools or universities, according to a report published by the Department of Statistics.

The report, released on the occasion of the International Youth Day which falls today, indicated that the number of young people in Jordan from the 15-24 age group stands at 1.89 million, comprising 20 per cent of the Kingdom's population.

Additionally, the report notes that about 43 per cent of young persons are still studying.
