Ziad Fariz appointed as SSIF's Chairman, succeeding Mazin Khatib

Ammon News - Former Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), Ziad Fariz will succeed Mazin Khatib as Chairman of the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF), after Khatib’s term has ended, according to Ammon's sources.

Khatib chaired on Sunday the last meeting of the the meeting of the SSIF, after spending 6 full years in his position.

Khatib was appointed by a decision of the Cabinet in May 2018 for a period of three years, as stipulated in the law, and then it was renewed in May 2021.

Fariz worked as CBJ's Governor for several years after holding several ministerial portfolios, including Planning Minister, Industry and Trade Minister, and Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister.

It is noteworthy that former Finance Minister Ezzeddine Kanakrieh is currently the CEO of the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF), Mohammad Saleh Suleiman Tarawneh as Director General of the Social Security Corporation (SSC), and the Minister of Labor Nadia Rawabdeh also holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Social Security Corporation (SSC).
