Ammon News - The Jordan national football team continues its technical and physical preparations ahead of its match against Algeria at 6:00 AM -Amman time- on Tuesday, June 23, at San Francisco Bay Arena in the United States, as part of the second round of the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Jordan national football team held its training session on Friday, June 19, at the University of Portland stadium under head coach Jamal Salami, with full player participation and media attendance.
The team will depart on Saturday to San Francisco to prepare for the Algeria match. The pre-match press conference will be held on Sunday at 2:30 PM local San Francisco time in the stadium’s media hall, followed by the official training session at 8:00 PM at San Jose Park stadium, in the presence of media representatives.
The Jordan squad for the World Cup consists of 26 players: Yazeed Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Nour Bani Attiah, Abdullah Nasib, Saad Al-Rousan, Yazan Al-Arab, Salim Obeid, Mohammed Abu Al-Nadi, Hossam Abu Al-Dhahab, Ihsan Haddad, Anas Badawi, Mohannad Abu Taha, Mohammed Abu Hashish, Mohammed Abu Ghosh, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Rajai Aaed, Amer Jamous, Mohammed Al-Dawood, Mahmoud Mardi, Odeh Al-Fakhouri, Mousa Al-Taamari, Mohammed Abu Zureiq, Ali Al-Azaizeh, and Ali Olwan.
Jordan competes in Group 10 alongside Argentina, Algeria, and Austria.
The team opened its campaign with a 1–3 defeat to Austria, while Argentina defeated Algeria 3–0.
Jordan will conclude its group-stage matches against Argentina at 5:00 AM (Jordan time) on Sunday, June 28, at Dallas Stadium.
