Ammon News - The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yanal Barmawi, confirmed on Tuesday that the rise in chicken prices in Jordanian markets is unjustified.
Baramawi said that the ministry monitored the markets, supply chains, and prices, and based on that, it decided to set price ceilings for fresh chicken at JD2.20 and for scrap chicken at JD1.70.
The decision is to ensure that citizens have access to chicken at reasonable prices in light of the unjustified rises in the markets, Barmawi added.
