UAE sends aid for the Iraqi Christian families taking refuge in Jordan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - United Arab Emirates has sent aid for the Iraqi Christian families who are taking shelter in Jordan. On May 19, Thursday, the Ambassador of United Arab Emirates in Jordan met with the local Christians, church leaders and the Iraqi Christian refugees.
There are eleven Iraqi Christian families that have been provided aid from the UAE Ambassador Dr. Bilal Bdur. These Iraqi Christians refugees are currently residing at the Sacred Heart Church, in Amman, Jordan. The UAE Ambassador met with Father Rifat Bader, a Jordanian priest, along with representatives of CARITAS Jordan and the Iraqi Christian refugees.
Previously, in 2015, the United Arab Emirates presented significant financial assistance to these same eleven Iraqi Christian families. The financial assistance from the United Arab Emirates to the Iraqi Christian families was presented as gesture of association and friendship between Christians and Muslims.
Father Rifat Bader while addressing the audience at this occasion, shed light on the fact that these Iraqi Christian families were facilitated to move into rented homes, by the efforts and striving and monthly financial support from the Red Crescent Society of the United Arab Emirates.
