Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The prices of oil derivatives will be hiked by about 2 per cent as of May 1 to match the rise in the global market, according to Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali.
But under the decision, taken by the government's pricing committee which meets monthly to adjust oil prices, the price of a cylinder of cooking gas will remain unchanged.
According to the updated prices, one litre of unleaded Octane-90 gasoline will be sold at JD0.535 instead of JD0.525, while the price of Octane-95 gasoline will be JD0.705 per litre.
The prices of both diesel and kerosene also went up one piaster to JD0.365 instead of JD0.355 per litre.
The price of a cylinder of cooking gas, used by households and restaurants, was fixed at JD7.00.
