Algeria sends humanitarian assistance to refugees in Jordan

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) — In an expression of solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, Algeria is sending humanitarian assistance to the Syrian refugees in the Kingdom, the Algerian embassy in Amman said on Saturday.
Algerian President Abdel Aziz Bouteflika made the decision, the embassy said, adding that the aid comprises 30 tonnes of foodstuff and medical supplies that will be sent in three shipments via Algerian Airlines, the first of which arrived on Friday.
The second shipment is scheduled to arrive on Sunday, while the third will arrive in the coming days, the embassy said, expressing appreciation to the Kingdom for its various efforts to meet the needs of Syrian refugees.
