The Public Security Department (PSD) received a tip that a physician who works at an Amman hospital had established an unlicensed plant for manufacturing counterfeit drugs and selling them in Irbid Governorate as foreign and original brands. Further investigation led to the discovery of four locations the doctor used to manufacture the drugs in cooperation with his son who works as an accountant at the same hospital and helped sell the medicines to patients. The doctor confessed and was arrested along with his son, according to the PSD.

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) — Irbid police on Saturday night arrested a doctor who sold counterfeit medicines.

The Public Security Department (PSD) received a tip that a physician who works at an Amman hospital had established an unlicensed plant for manufacturing counterfeit drugs and selling them in Irbid Governorate as foreign and original brands.

Further investigation led to the discovery of four locations the doctor used to manufacture the drugs in cooperation with his son who works as an accountant at the same hospital and helped sell the medicines to patients.

The doctor confessed and was arrested along with his son, according to the PSD.
