Ammon News - LONDON (Petra) — HRH Prince Hassan on Wednesday said Islamic teachings call for a coherent society that transcends tribes, nations and governments.

Delivering a lecture at Al Khoei Foundation in London, Prince Hassan stressed the importance of Muslim unity and the need to draw the followers of various religions closer through dialogue, to enrich the values of love, justice and peace.

The prince criticised the abduction of clerics and the destruction of holy sites around the world, expressing hope that love and peace will prevail, especially in the Syrian cities of Daraa and Aleppo.

Warning against sectarian divisions, he said they pose a threat to the moderation Islam calls for.
