Ammon News - Ammon - 18 missiles reportedly fired by Syrian forces fell inside Jordanian border territories Friday evening, Ammon News learned.
No injuries or casualties were reported.
Eye-witnesses told Ammon News that a fire that erupted on Syrian territories near the Jordanian borders extended inside the Jordanian Ramtha region.
Civil Defense cadres contained the fire, official sources told Ammon News.
Errant missile shells launched by the Syrian Army have landed inside Jordanian territories several times last year, landing in the town of Turra near the Jordanian northern border city of Ramtha.
Several missiles had landed previously in Turra, about 90 kilometers northwest of Amman, as a result of clashes in the Syrian border town of Daraa between the Syrian regime army and the Free Syrian Army.
In September, five rocket shells struck near inhabited areas in Ramtha, and about 9 more shells hit areas nearby the borders. One child was injured in the incident that caused major havoc and fear among border-area residents.
