Kuwait's "Smile of Hope" offers aid to Syrian, Jordanian children

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan, Aug 29 (KUNA) ­­ Kuwait's voluntary team Basmat Amal (Smile of Hope) on Saturday offered in­kind and cash aid to Syrian and Jordanian children with special needs in Jordan's Al­Zarqa province,
34 km east of Amman.

The donation is part of a campaign worth USD 70,000 to help 500 families, also in some parts of the Jordanian
capital.

A concert was held at Al­Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, where the children performed shows commending the
Kuwaiti humanitarian support to the Syrian refugees in Jordan, and also the hosting Jordanian communities.

During the event, attended by Diplomatic Attache at the Kuwaiti embassy in Amman Nawaf Al­Ansari, and
chairman of the Al­Zarqa Chamber of Commerce Hussein Al­Sharim, the Kuwaiti delegation offered the cash,
school bags, toys and wheelchairs to the children.

Aid has been offered over three days by the Kuwait­based Social Reform Society, Jordan's office, head of the
delegation Dr. Jassem Al­Dekheel told KUNA.

He added that the Basmat Amal offers a bright image of Kuwaiti aid to alleviate sufferings of the Syrian
refugees.

Al­Dekheel appreciated support by the Kuwaiti people to Syrians since the eruption of their crisis, more than four years ago, urging them to offer more aid .
