Ammon News - The Royal Tank Museum will mark the 80th anniversary of Jordan’s independence with a full-day national celebration featuring military displays, aerial performances and family-oriented activities highlighting the kingdom’s military heritage and national history.

The museum announced it will open free of charge on May 25 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The program includes interactive educational and entertainment activities for children and families, including mosaic workshops, face painting, tank coloring stations, modeling activities, building games and outdoor family play areas.

Visitors will also have access to interactive photography experiences, including 360-degree imaging stations and a mobile robotic system designed to capture and print commemorative photos.

Military performances scheduled for the evening at the museum’s arena will feature the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army military band alongside displays of tanks and armored vehicles documenting the development of the armed forces since independence.

The event will also showcase military vehicles introduced during the reign of King Abdullah II, in addition to participation from the Jordan Design and Development Bureau highlighting advances in Jordan’s defense industries.

The celebration will further include performances by the free-fall parachute team from the King Abdullah II Special Forces Group, flyovers by the Royal Jordanian Air Force and an aerial performance by the Royal Falcons aerobatic team.

Traditional folklore performances and cultural activities are also planned, including dabke performances by the Ajawid troupe, while Jordanian artist Issa Al-Saqr is scheduled to conclude the celebrations with a live concert.

Director General of the Royal Tank Museum retired Brig. Nark Sejaja said the anniversary represents a major national occasion celebrating Jordan’s achievements under Hashemite leadership.

He added that the museum seeks to provide an experience combining education, entertainment and national identity while strengthening awareness of Jordan’s military heritage and the role of the armed forces throughout the kingdom’s history. Petra
