Ammon News - Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs and Head of the Examination Committee, Dr. Nawaf Ajarmeh, said 213 violations were recorded up to the end of the fifth day of the supplementary session of Tawjihi (the general secondary education certificate examination).
On penalties, Ajarmeh said 13 students were warned and 45 others were banned to complete the exam, as most cases were attempts to bring electronic devices designed for cheating, mainly listening devices and VIP cards, into the exam hall.
Meanwhile, he added that 10 applicants were banned to complete the exam for an entire session mainly due to using cheating materials.
In statements to "Petra,"he stated 141 violations led to calling off two exam sessions for bringing communication devices or electronic kits into the exam room.
Ajarmeh noted 4 violations resulted in a two-year ban for photographing the exam paper.
Ajarmeh confirmed that the exams proceeded "smoothly" as planned over the previous five days, as operations rooms didn't report any issues that affected the exam process.
Ajarmeh noted Wednesday marks the sixth day of the Tawjihi exams, adding that more than 15,000 students are scheduled to take the computer science exam. Petra
