Ammon News - U.S. Ambassador to Amman, Jim Holtsnider, affirmed that it was a privilege when U.S. President Donald Trump asked him to come as an American Ambassador to Jordan, saying: "I found I was the luckiest man in the world".
During a visit to the residence of Sheikh Eid Rakan Al-Shawabkeh in the Abdaliyeh area, the ambassador stated that his relationship with Jordan spans 20 years, during which he has worked with various Jordanian governments and the armed forces in numerous capacities.
He noted that he had witnessed the wisdom of His Majesty King Abdullah II for many years, and now he is experiencing firsthand the generosity of the Jordanian people in strengthening the relationship between Jordan and the United States.
He expressed his pride in meeting the King, presenting his credentials, and getting to know the Jordanian people, emphasizing his eagerness to meet many more Jordanians at the US Embassy.
He thanked Sheikh Al-Shawabkeh for his hospitality, noting that it was a great honor to share a meal with him and his family.
