04-11-2025 02:23 PM

Ammon News - The Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) announced its key operational performance indicators for October, reaffirming its position as a vital hub supporting Jordan’s national logistics network and regional supply chains.

According to a company statement issued Tuesday, ACT handled a total of 88,792 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) during October, comprising 45,680 inbound containers and 11,471 outbound containers. The terminal also serviced 50 vessels, processed 50,366 truck movements, and handled 6,194 TEUs in transit cargo.

The company reported a 24.4 percent year-on-year increase in total handling volume, attributing the growth to seasonal trade flows and global shipping developments.

The ACT highlighted that these operational results underscore its strategic role as a logistics gateway connecting global trade routes with regional markets, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods through advanced port operations.

The company reiterated its commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and delivering reliable services. It also stressed its continued investment in infrastructure development, digital transformation, and sustainability initiatives to enhance long-term competitiveness.
