Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will begin a working visit to the Belgian capital, Brussels, on Monday, to participate in Brussels 9th 2025 Conference titled "Standing with Syria: Meeting the Needs for a Successful Transition."
On the sidelines of the conference, Safadi will hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts and participating European and international officials.
During the visit, Safadi will also meet with the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee in a dialogue session organized in cooperation with the European Parliament's Committee for Relations with the Levant.
The European Union is holding a donor conference on Syria in Brussels on Monday, an opportunity for Europeans to bolster international support for Syria, which has been devastated by more than a decade of war.
For the first time, representatives of the government in Damascus will attend this 9th donor conference, and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani will represent his country in Brussels on the sidelines of a meeting of European Union foreign ministers.
