Zarqa University Wins NYiT’s football Trophy

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Zarqa Private University secured New York Institute of Technology NYiT football championship’s trophy after nervy penalties, with a slender 5 – 4 win over University of Applied Sciences.

Dr. Mohammed Odat, Jordan NYiT Chairman Assistant, crowed the winning team with the championship’s trophy, expressing his satisfaction over the objectives achieved by the championship that stretched beyond winning and losing. Dr. Odat also awarded medals and trophies for University of Applied Sciences and Middle-East University who came in the second and the third place respectively.

Odat commended the coronation which was attended by Jordan’s national team trainer Mr. Ahmad Abd Al-Qader and the friendly atmosphere of the championship in general, praising Ahmad Abu Khadijeh, Khalil Abd Al Fatah, and Faiez Hassan efforts being the matches’ referees.

Nine Jordanian universities participated in the first round of this championship; Princess Sumaya University for Technology, the German - Jordanian University, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Petra University, Al-Zaytoonah University, Middle-East University, Zarqa Private University, in addition to the host, the organizer NYiT.

On their part, the participants praised New York Institute of Technology’s efforts in organizing this event, considering it a sign of NYiT’s devotion and dedication to sporting events. It displays NYiT’s willingness to cooperate with national organizations and committees, and their desire to expand the list of participants in their sporting events.
