Oman Trade and Post talk about boosting trade and service industries

Ammon News - The Amman Chamber of Commerce met with the Jordan Post Company at the Chamber's headquarters to discuss matters related to bolstering the capital's trade and services sectors, focusing on enhancing e-commerce and the logistics and financial services offered by the company.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Chairman of the Chamber, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, urged the examination of the potential to establish a Jordan Post office within the one-stop service center at the Amman Chamber of Commerce headquarters. This initiative aims to offer its services to General Assembly members and those in the commercial and service sectors, thereby enhancing their operational efficiency.
Al-Haj Tawfiq emphasized the importance of Jordan Post in bolstering the national economy and delivering logistical solutions that improve cooperation between the public and private sectors, highlighting the Post's role in offering modern and current services that align with market demands.
In her presentation, the Acting Director General of the Jordan Post Company, Hanadi Al-Tayeb, discussed the electronic projects and services the company has undertaken as part of its digital transformation. She highlighted the introduction of a series of prepaid cards in various foreign currencies to promote financial inclusion, aligning with the goals of economic modernization.
Al-Tayeb clarified that the release of these cards is a reaction to the demands of the local market, particularly for students studying overseas and travelers involved in tourism, medical care, and business activities, as these internationally recognized cards offer secure services without any fees or interest.
The board members present commended the significant progress in Jordan Post services over the recent period, highlighting its crucial role in aiding commercial transactions for both traders and investors.
The meeting included Vice Presidents Nabil Al-Khatib and Bahjat Hamdan, Treasurer Khattab Al-Banna, Deputy Secretary Falah Al-Sagheer, and Chamber Board Member Amjad Al-Suwailemeen.
