Ammon News - External patrols are currently managing a brief decrease in traffic on Zarqa Highway heading towards Zarqa University as a result of a morning traffic accident involving multiple vehicles, until the vehicles are fully cleared.
According to the traffic update on Public Security Radio on Monday, incidents and obstructions were managed due to unstable weather and rainfall in many areas of the Kingdom on Monday, with accidents primarily caused by slipping, lack of proper safety distance, and tailgating as soon as the rain started.
The trained teams handled a total of 6 incidents, such as two cars flipping over on Jordan Street heading towards Ummal and the North, causing minor injuries. Additionally, various collisions and car breakdowns were addressed on Istiqlal Street, Abdoun Tunnel, and Airport Road.
Several accidents occurred on the external roads, including an empty tanker overturning and coming to rest in the median on the Azraq road towards Zarqa, causing injury to the driver who was then taken to Mafraq Governmental Hospital. Additionally, there was a collision between two vehicles on Martyr Azmi Al-Mufti Camp Road, leading to two individuals sustaining moderate injuries and being taken to the hospital for treatment. In the south of Giza, there was a car crash involving two vehicles which led to two injuries being transported to Al-Nadim Governmental Hospital and the road was cleared of traffic congestion.
